Settings → Integrations. The connection to your practice management system, plus the other systems VoxHealth talks to on your behalf. The PMS connection is the one everything depends on. Without it the agent has no schedule to book into and no charts to look patients up in.

Connecting your PMS

What you need differs by system. See Supported systems for the specifics. In every case:
1

Create credentials in your PMS

Use a service account created for VoxHealth, not a staff member’s login. It needs read and write access to patients and the schedule.
2

Enter them in Settings → Integrations

Only admins can do this.
3

Verify the connection

Open Patients and search for a chart you know exists. If it comes back, the connection works.
4

Check the schedule

Open Scheduling and confirm today’s appointments match what your PMS shows.

Sync

Patient records and appointments are pulled from your PMS on an ongoing basis, so lookups are fast and the app does not have to wait on your system for every read. Bookings, cancellations, and confirmations are written back.
A PMS connection that stops working degrades quietly rather than loudly: the agent keeps answering, but starts failing to find patients and offering stale availability. If lookups start failing across the board, check this page before anything else.

Other connections

Depending on what your practice uses, Integrations also holds:

Credential hygiene

  • One service account per system, named so it is obviously VoxHealth’s.
  • Rotate on the same schedule you rotate anything else.
  • When someone leaves, check no integration is running on their personal login.
